Trust Center
What we claim, what we won't, and where your resume goes.
Most career sites ask for your entire work history and tell you almost nothing in return. If you're running a confidential search at a senior level, that's not a fair trade. This page is our side of it — the method, the limits, the data handling and the money, all stated plainly enough to forward to a lawyer.
This page is maintained by Carevra to answer common questions about how the product works and how we handle your data. It describes our own practices and the capabilities of the infrastructure we run on — it is not an independent audit, and it is not a certification.
01 — Method
How the writing actually works
Carevra reads your resume and the role you're targeting, then rewrites your existing material to the register that level of role is read at. It does not have a template library it drops you into. Three things drive every document: the tier persona (how senior the language is), your professional domain (how a hiring lead in your field expects to be spoken to), and your career arc (the through-line across your roles).
Every rewrite is then run through a deterministic audit before you see it — checking for fabricated numbers, weak verbs, filler, and the specific phrasings that make writing read as machine-generated.
02 — Limits
The claims we refuse to make
A resume product can inflate almost anything, because almost nothing about it is independently checkable. So here is what we will not say to you:
- No invented experience
- Carevra rewrites what is already on your resume. It will not add a job, a title, a date, a credential, or a metric you did not give it. If a bullet needs a number, we ask you for it — we don't generate one.
- No fake ATS score
- Every 0–100 score on the site comes from one published scoring function applied to your actual text. There is no tier floor, no fallback constant, and no AI self-grading. The same resume and job description always produce the same score.
- No invented outcome stats
- We don't publish callback-rate percentages, interview-rate multipliers, or user counts we can't evidence. When you see a number on this site, it was computed from something real.
- No borrowed logos
- We don't display company logos to imply customers or endorsements we don't have.
- No fabricated testimonials
- We publish customer quotes only with written permission from the person who said them. Until a quote clears that bar, we show nothing in its place.
03 — Confidentiality
Running a search quietly
Senior searches are usually confidential, and often the current employer is the one party who must not find out. Carevra is built for that case.
- Nothing is public by default
- Your resumes, letters, applications and notes are visible only to your signed-in account. There is no profile directory, no feed, and no discovery surface.
- No recruiter marketplace
- We do not sell, rent, or broker your information to recruiters, staffing firms, or job boards. Carevra makes money from subscriptions and the Sprint — not from your data.
- Sharing is opt-in and revocable
- A share link only exists if you create one, and it stops working the moment you unpublish it.
- Your writing is not training data
- Your resume is not used to train or fine-tune any model, ours or a provider's.
04 — Data
Where your resume actually goes
We run on managed cloud infrastructure rather than self-hosted servers, which means some protections come from the platform and some are ours. Both are listed.
- In transit
- All traffic between your browser and our servers runs over HTTPS/TLS.
- At rest
- Documents are stored in a managed Postgres database with encryption at rest provided by the hosting platform.
- Isolation
- Row-level security policies are enforced in the database itself, so access is scoped to your user id at the data layer rather than only in application code.
- Authentication
- Handled by a managed identity provider. Passwords are stored hashed, never in plain text. Google sign-in is available if you'd rather not hold another password.
- AI processing
- Rewrites are sent to Google Gemini models through a managed AI gateway under terms that prohibit training on the content. The text is processed to produce your document and is not retained by us beyond your saved document.
- Payments
- Card details are entered directly with Stripe and never touch Carevra's servers. We store only the subscription state needed to unlock your plan.
- Account and receipt emails are sent from support@carevra.io through our email infrastructure. You can unsubscribe from non-essential email from any message.
05 — Control
Deleting what we hold
You can delete an individual document from Documents & edits, or close your account entirely from Settings. Deleting the account removes your stored resumes, letters, applications and profile from the live database. Encrypted infrastructure backups roll off on the hosting platform's schedule, after which no copy remains. Records we're required to keep for tax and fraud purposes — essentially payment records — are retained as the law requires.
To request a copy of your data, or to ask a privacy question, email support@carevra.io from your account address and we'll respond within two business days.
06 — Money
What happens if it doesn't work
The Executive Career Sprint is $199 once, for 90 days — not a subscription that renews behind your back. Professional is $29.99 per month and cancels from Billing in one click, with no retention call and no email loop.
Refund terms are written out in full on the refund policy page, and the Interview Guarantee terms are on the plans page. If something we generated was wrong, or the product failed you, write to us — we've refunded and re-credited accounts for our own mistakes before and we'll do it again.
07 — Accountability
Reaching a human
Carevra is a small, independent team — you are not going to be handed to a support tier. Product questions, billing problems and security reports all reach us at support@carevra.io, and we answer within two business days.
If you believe you've found a security vulnerability, mail the same address with details. We'll acknowledge within 48 hours and ask that you hold off on public disclosure until we've had a chance to fix it. We don't pursue good-faith researchers.
08 — Shared responsibility
What's ours, what's yours
Our side: keeping the platform available, keeping your documents isolated to your account, being accurate about what the product does, and telling you promptly if something goes wrong that affects your data.
Your side: keeping your sign-in credentials private, reviewing every document before you send it to an employer, and confirming that the facts in it are true. Carevra writes the strongest honest version of your record — it can't verify your record for you, and a document you approve is a document you're standing behind.
